Waiting is the Worst

Raise your hand if you love to wait. Look around. I'm not raising my hand. Are you? If you say yes, well...good for you. Way to be an individual and way to raise your hand when something you read tells you to.

Yesterday I finally got to stop waiting for the results to my AFAA certification. Drum roll please...I passed!

I took the test on July 13, so I've had the past three weeks to think about everything we did and wonder—even torture myself—about anything I could have possibly done wrong. I was fairly confident about the day after we finished, but that confidence slowly deteriorated as time went by. The AFAA representatives tell you that you'll get your results in 4-6 weeks, but luckily I did not have to wait that long. I started seeing other people who took the same certification I did post that they passed. So I knew my results were coming soon. Of course, I told myself it was bad news when I didn't get anything for two days after others heard. But alas, things were all good and I don't have to worry about retesting or anything of the sort. Whew.

My next step is to complete my CPR training (I'm signed up for next Wednesday) and then send AFAA my card. Then I'll be official.

I'm hoping this experience of waiting, fearing the worst (or just bad news), and getting positive results will be a pattern that other things I'm waiting for follow as well. But really, whether news is positive or negative, I think it's always better to just know. Knowing is always better than wondering.
